About the teacher and the practice:
Zhaozhou chan, the Lineage of Xu Yun
We practice the Chan of Zhaozhou, (Joshu), emblematic Master of the Tang dynasty. The practice consists of intensive meditation sessions (Chan Qi) of 45 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of a fast and free walk around the Buddha. Teaching. A questions and answers session.
Christophe Delaporte (Yao Ma) is the student of Ming Qing Sifu (Daniel Odier). In 2002, Daniel and Christophe were ordained as monks in the Soto Zen school by Kosen Sensei (successor to Deshimaru Sensei). In 2005, Christophe received ordination from Ming Qing Sifu in the Chan school. Yao Ma does not believe in formalities and exotic rituals. He constantly brings our attention back to the essential, the pure essence of Chan, the exact now, and breaks through the thicket of our doubts and similar hesitations. Trust arises from the simplicity of the practice itself, and in this, the cosmic pearl can shine freely.
